Podcast 010 – Erin Guest – Surviving Essure

Erin Guest, a Melbourne based woman, shares her important story with us. This is a story of surviving the medical device called Essure. Although FDA approved, this permanent contraceptive device has now been discontinued and pulled from the market and is the subject of an explosive Netflix documentary called The Bleeding Edge. The Essure device is also at the centre of many class action lawsuits against Bayer, a pharmaceutical giant, brought about by the courageous women that this device has impacted. In Australia this class action is with Slater and Gordon and is open to anyone impacted by this device from 1999-2018. We’re honoured to have Becky share her story here.
