The lovely Carly Findlay discusses her memoir, Say Hello, and chats about sewing, colour, music and gives us a confession or two! Carly is an award winning writer, speaker and appearance activist. Her first book, Say Hello, was released in Australia in 2019. Carly is also a contributor to the book #MeToo Australia and the editor of Growing Up Disabled in Australia. Carly writes on disability and appearance diversity issues for news outlets including ABC, The Age and SBS. She has appeared on ABC TV’s You Can’t Ask That, It Takes Two, and Cyber Hate with Tara Moss. Carly has also appeared several times on The Project. She was named one of Australia’s most influential women in the Australian Financial Review (2014) and the Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards. Carly organised the ground breaking Access to Fashion – A Melbourne Fashion Week 2018 event that featured models with visible and invisible disabilities.
